Teaching Philosophy

To educate the student to understand and use their swing within their capabilities.  Help the student to learn and apply drills to benefit their own game.  Make available resources to help the student reach their full potential.

Extensive career in golf instruction for over 13 years.

Teaching Philosophy

To try to create an atmosphere that supports progress through hard work.  Golf is a motor skill which involves visualization, feel and understanding that can only be learned and not taught.  Understanding the source of the power and simplifying the movement brings the basics together.

Kyle Crawford CPGA Apprentice Professional

Started golf at the age of 13
Played in Canadian Junior Championship and placed 17th; 3rd in Alberta for highschool provincials;  won Edmonton Juvenile at age 16; shot course record of 68 at Northern Bear; played one year on the APGA Assistants tour; won Edmonton Open Amateur Side in 2004 and place 3rd overall; and have finished first 2 years of the Golf Management program at Grant MacEwan Community College.

Teaching Philosophy

Examine each student in order to choose a method on how to improve their game.  There are no two swings a like so finding the right teaching method that fits your physical ability is most important.  Understanding the student's goals and what they want to achieve will help make the student progress easier.  The key to learning is having fun.  By having the drills and exercises available as resources for the student that are fun will in turn help the student reach their individual goals sooner.  After all, golf is not an easy game.

Trent Wright CPGA Executive Professional
Born Edmonton, Alberta
CPGA Class "A" Member
Professional since 1985
CPGA Coaching Program Level 3
Ping Regional Fitter of the Year for 2003 and 2004 (one of 10 in Canada)
APGA tour for the last 21 years

Teaching Philosophy

To help players learn and improve in a fun relaxed environment.  I believe we all learn better when we are at ease with our instructor in whatever we do.  I think it is really important to determine the goals of the student, what would you like to accomplish with your golf and how much time do you have to dedicate to practice.  Diagnosis the problem areas and give the pupil one or two things to work on that will make them a better player. Over teaching is one of the biggest problems today.  Keep it simple and make it fun!
