Partner Opportunities Province of Shandong, China Tourism Meeting & FAM November 9-10, 2009 Edmonton Tourism hosted the Shandong delegation in Edmonton as part of their appointments in various cities in Canada. Points of discussion included how both sides can work together to promote Edmonton / Shandong exchange visitors after ADS is signed.  Jasper Friendship Week November 10-11, 2009 To celebrate Edmonton Jasper friendship week, Jasper extended to Edmonton Tourism an invitation to come to Jasper for their November General Meeting. This was a great opportunity to reconnect with Jasper Chamber members, Jasper Tourism and to promote the Friendship week. To add to the celebration Edmonton alongside Jasper partners had the opportunity to ski Marmot Basin on opening day.
H.I.S. Fam Tour November 15 & 16, 2009 Edmonton Tourism hosted H.I.S Vancouver head office for a FAM tour of Edmonton. 3 key decision makers from H.I.S. came to Edmonton to site attractions for their Alberta itineraries including Farming, Dining, Galleries & other educational attractions within the city. The key market for H.I.S is Japan leisure guests. Canada’s West Market Place, Victoria, BC November 30 – Dec 3, 2009 Edmonton Tourism participated in the Canada’s West Marketplace. Natacha Fudem met with a total of 47 pre-scheduled buyers over a day and a half. Edmonton Tourism alongside with VIA Rail sponsored the All-Delegate Lunch that included both BC & AB Sellers and all the National & International Buyers. Edmonton Tourism & Festival City brought to you by TransAlta included performances from the Festival City in a box Wajjo performers and Edmonton Stilt Walkers.
CITAP Winter Market Place, Vancouver, BC November 7, 2009 Edmonton Tourism participated in the CITAP event that included a full morning of key speakers including CTC Directors from the Asia Pacific market, JATA and Receptive Tour Operator panel that conducted a question & answer session. The remainder of the afternoon comprised of an open market place for sellers to table top exhibit followed by a Holiday Dinner function for both buyers and sellers.
