The Movie FUBAR2, the sequel to the cult-movie-hit FUBAR, wrapped shooting in December, generating significant print/TV and on-line buzz. While the film is set in Fort McMurray and Calgary, the bulk of filming was done in Edmonton.

Edmonton-based sketch comedy TV series, “Caution: May Contain Nuts” wrapped-up Season 2 in December, shooting three live-audience sessions at Film Alberta Studios. The series airs in Canada on APTN. http://www.nutsonline.tv/

The next season of the Edmonton-based APTN series “Mixed Blessings” launched its new broadcast season.

And a 15 person delegation from China visited Edmonton while we were earning the title “coldest spot in North America”. Dispatched by the prestigious China Academy of Art, the group was here to collect footage for Shanghai’s Expo 2010 pavilion film “City of Squares”. We’re the only Canadian city to be represented.

From the delegation:
“The filming in Edmonton was very successful and the shots are so beautiful. The Shanghai Expo Authority is excited by the Canada part and have great satisfaction with the film. The weather was very tough but the warmth of the citizens made us at-home and we shall share this great experience with our fellow international producers. We truly hope we can come back.”
