Short Haul Leisure

Summer Programming

The summer campaign will launch in mid-June. The summer campaign is aimed at increasing Greater Edmonton’s share of leisure visitors from across Alberta and select markets in Saskatchewan, Northern B.C., Yukon and Northwest Territories.

The campaign targets potential visitors using a multi-media approach that includes direct mail, e-marketing, promotional offers and an anchoring website. Consumers are encouraged to visit www.edmonton.com/liveallyear where they were eligible for an ‘instant-win’ opportunity and can peruse visitor information and vacation packages, find online coupons and enter to win one of two spectacular summer getaways. This campaign will give potential visitors plenty of compelling reasons to come to Edmonton for a great summer holiday.

The multi-media campaign also includes a Visiting Friends & Relatives component, as well as the Thank You Edmonton program which rewards locals for hosting out-of-town guests.

Thank you to our partners who include the DMF Hotels, Edmonton & Area Tourism Destination Region as well as industry partner buy-in.

Consumer Shows

This program targets the short-haul markets, augmenting the existing Travel Alberta’s Partners in Promotion consumer program which targets the long-haul markets.
