Edmonton Events International
- Edmonton Events International (EEI) had a major presence at the 2010 Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance Congress & Prestige Awards in Toronto April 21-23. EEI was a major sponsor of the 2010 Prestige Awards, recognizing leaders and events in sport tourism. Furthermore, Dr. Bob Steadward, Chair of EEI was awarded the highest honour, the President’s Award, for his contribution to sport and sport tourism. Lindsay also had the opportunity to meet with 15 national sport organization reps including Golf Canada, Skate Canada and Athletics Canada.
- Lindsay Harrison and Glenn Duncan solicited 3 strong leads in Dubai at the international Sportaccord conference. They also met with over 12 international sport federation representatives at the Team Canada reception.
- Edmonton has submitted a bid to host the 2013, 2014 or 2015 CN Canadian Women’s Open Golf Championship. Edmonton is competing against Calgary to host this prestigious international event again in one of these three years.
- Lindsay Harrison will be hosting 3 representatives from national sport organizations including Golf Canada, Swimming Canada and Basketball Canada on a familiarization tour June 22-24.
