Two Satellite Visitor Information Centres to open for Summer Months! Edmonton Tourism has entered into two partnerships to expand services to visitors by opening 2 satellite VICs for the summer. Partnering with the Edmonton International Airport, Edmonton Tourism is staffing a VIC at the airport. The hours of operation for this site are 10am-6pm Monday to Friday. This new VIC opened on Friday May 21. The second partnership is with the City of Edmonton. This partnership will see Edmonton Tourism staffing a VIC at Churchill square. The hours of operation at Churchill Square will be 10am-2pm Monday-Friday. This VIC is expected to open in the middle of June. New Hours and Summer Hours The Downtown Visitor Information Centre hours of operation have changed to Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, Saturdays in July and August 9am-5pm. The Gateway Park Visitor Information Centre has changed to summer operating hours. These hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am–4:30pm, 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
Spring Training Edmonton Tourism Visitor Information Centre staff attended the 3-day Travel Alberta Spring Showcase May 4-6. This customer service and product knowledge training program allowed staff to meet with 64 operators from around Alberta.
