Travel Media

Media Visits



In partnership with Travel Alberta International, Edmonton Tourism organized 4 media visits throughout January and February. Media participants represented over 2 broadcast and 12 print and web media outlets from the USA, China, Taiwan, and Canada, and included a group from the Travel Journalist Guild.

Media outlets include At Your Leisure (USA), CMT/YTV’s Karaoke Star Jr., Travel + Leisure China, Southern Metropolis Weekly (China), Mook Traveller (Taiwan), TravelCom Magazine (Taiwan), and more. Thank you to all partners who supported these media visits!


Information/Image Support

Edmonton Tourism sent out over 20 press releases, story idea pitches, and responses for information support. Thank you to all partners for keeping us up-to-date with your product offerings.


Media Marketplace



While attending the Travel Media Association of Canada AGM & Conference held in Richmond, BC, Edmonton Tourism held 10 one-on-one appointments with media, plus two additional appointments immediately following the close of the pre-scheduled appointments. Media leads have been sent to industry partners for additional follow-up.


What’s New

As always, travel media are interested in what’s new. Whenever possible, we would like to hear from you on upcoming special events and new product. We are happy to assist in communicating your news to media by sending out your press releases or adding the information to the Travel Media What’s New section of Edmonton.com.
