Survival Course for New Managers

It was a crazy year last year and under that pressure you might have promoted a few people into supervisory or management positions that may not necessarily have been ready. What do you do now?

You’re not alone. Many companies promote employees who aren’t ready. If the new supervisor is thrown into supervising, this sink-or-swim approach will ensure some will sink.

Failing to train new supervisors can be risky. One of the main reasons top performers leave a company are dissatisfaction with management and conflicts with supervisors or managers. Untrained supervisors also may make potentially costly mistakes, such as asking an illegal question during an employment interview, or not following proper procedures with a termination.

Transform the current economic negativity and unpredictability into opportunities for growth, progress and achievement!

GET-HR is pleased to bring you an excellent 3-hour interactive course to help new supervisors or managers understand the Alberta Employment Standards Code.

DATE:   Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
TIME:   1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
LOCATION:   Northlands Paddock Spectrum
REGISTER:   Email: Sscott@Suttonplace.com Or Jaie@canterrasuites.com
PLEASE NOTE:   Due to limited class size – we can only allow 2 participants per property.
Please register early so your supervisor/manager doesn’t miss out!

~~ Deadline to register is: April 28th ~~
