A new agreement, signed February 14 brings NAIT meatcutting, business and management expertise to innovative anti-BSE group.
Canada Farm Direct (CFD) is a producer-driven initiative intended to get Canadian meat products directly to the public. By realigning the Canadian beef industry, CFD is positioning itself to capture new and exciting domestic and international markets.
NAIT President Sam Shaw says, "This is a company with a bold and dynamic vision. They are working hard to restore Alberta's superb reputation in beef production by making a fundamental shift in the entire industry. NAIT can help, because of our expertise in the agricultural sector, our ability to deliver superb customized training, and our international experience in more than 60 countries."

| Institution building in Egypt - meeting training needs of oil & gas sector |

When the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum identified the need for a practical, applied training institution for the oil and gas sector, NAIT was chosen as their training partner. The result of this collaborative initiative is the Egyptian Petroleum Institute (EPI). NAIT's commitment has been in providing institution building advisory services, hands-on relevant curriculum, and course delivery services.
On February 6, the Egyptian Petroleum Institute (EPI) began its first NAIT course in Alexandria. Egypt is becoming competitive on a global scale in oil and gas technology, with the vision to operate new mega projects which will integrate technology and skilled human resources.
