2005 Season Coming to an End
This upcoming weekend will be the last race of the season for the Legends Cars of Alberta. We are racing in at Race City in Calgary for the final installment of the Mac's Calgary Championship.
For a look at the latest driver points standings click here. The race this weekend isn on Sunday, September 25. Lets get lots of cars out and have a good hard, fun race, it will have to last you all winter. Competitor gates open at 8:00 am.

NAPA Auto Parts Touring and Northern Divisions
The 2005 Legends Cars of Alberta, NAPA Auto Parts Touring and Northern Division series had their season finale last weekend in Wetaskiwin. 23 cars made the trip and enjoyed a great day of racing. The temperature got a bit chilly once the sun went down but that did little to cool down the racing action.
At the end of the night we had ourselves some new champions in the Pro, Masters and Semi-Pro Divisions.

The Winner Is "Anne Horn"
During the run-up to the Firecracker 50 and at the race, Mac's ran a contest for a Pocket Chopper. The winner of the chopper was Ann Horn. Ann was a guest of Pipe Tech Corp. Upon being presented with the chopper from Ron Thompson, Ann decided to give it to the Childrens make a Wish Foundation to raise money in their silent auction. Way to go Anne!

Bits From the Pits
Foster
Fozzy turns 62 next year and as much as Fozzy would like to do this Legends Stuff all summer, Fozzy is going to spend more time with his wife & grandchildren in Abbotsford in 2006.
Don't rule out visits through the Summer as Fozzy also comes west to visit his son Scott and their new grandchild.
It won't be the same without Foster, he has helped everyone in Legends at one point or another and is always fun to have around!
Displays
The Legends Racers were out in force to support and promote the annual Mac's Firecracker 50. We had a number of events including displays at Home Depot, Swifty's Esso and The French Maid. Here are some photos from the displays.

We havn't seen the 45 car on the hook this racing season but Les has it up in the air at the "International Truck Symposium" in Calgary this past August.
A BIG WELCOME to Collin & Aaron Friend who have moved to Calgary from Australia, and have purchased the #55 from Gary & Jim Lister. They will keep the # 55 and will split the driving.
Bill Busby from Claresholm Alberta has followed Legend Racing for about 6 years, and is shopping for a Legend racecar to run the full 2006 Schedule.
In the still to be worked out dept!!!!!!, watch for some Exciting News on the return of Shawn " Iron Chef" Bower to Legends Racing in 2006. What we do know is, he will drive, who his crew is, and what car he will drive. STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!!!
Danny Meier called to tell us he will make a run for the Championship in 2006!!
Dave McKean who rents the # 1 NAPA Auto Parts / Dent Clinic Legend racecar is still finalizing his Sponsorship for 2006, but we can tell you that he has reached a rental agreement with Danny Hinds and Dave will run the # 1 again in 2006
Curtis Blanchette who worked in the Legends Shop for the months of July and August, has confirmed he wants to work in the Shop again in 2006. Legends Boss Wayne Miller says its a done Deal, Curtis was a terrific addition in 2005, and we will welcome him back in 2006.
