Races Cancelled for this Upcoming Weekend

Rome Awde from Race City has cancelled all racing scheduled for Saturday June 30th on the Oval. Rome would love to finally get a race in after several weeks of rainouts, but the safety of the racers far out-weighs racing on a dangerous track.

The race track in corner 2 is in need of extensive repair, and all of the rain over the last month has seen corner 2 turn into a spongy like surface that would quickly tear itself into pieces with the 70 to 80 racers expected this weekend.

Revised Chase Qualifier Due To Cancelled Race

Mac’s Convenience Stores, the promoters of the June 30th Milk To Go 50 which was the 3rd race in the 2007 Chase for the Mac’s Cup have decided that the Milk To Go 50 will now be contested in Wetaskiwin on July 7th.

Rome vows to make repairs as quickly as possible, once they assess what is required to fix the race track properly and once Mother Nature comes through with some much needed sunshine to dry out the Race Track.

Rome says he can find the Legend racers a makeup date if the racers want to make this date up. The Yes or No to that question is up to the racers and a quick call to Wayne at 723-7223 with a Yes or a No will ultimately decide weather we add a make up date.
