FUNNY CAR SHOWDOWN

 

The annual Ron Hodgson Pontiac Buick GMC and Southgate Pontiac Buick GMC Hummer Funny Car Showdown presented by Torco Race Fuels Canada happens on June 11!

 

 

The original date was scheduled for June 10, but since the Edmonton Oilers are playing in the Stanley Cup Playoff Game that night, Castrol Raceway rescheduled the Funny Car Show until the 11th.

 

The Funny Car Show will feature over 20 different Funny Cars all tearing up the strip to see who can be the fastest! This is a great family event and an awesome way to spend your Sunday afternoon!

Gates open at 12:00pm

Racing starts at 1:00pm

Admission

Adults $25.00

Youth (7-15) & Seniors - $15.00

Children 6 & under are Free!

Heritage Harley All Bike Drags

 

Don’t miss this incredible show featuring Nitro Bikes that go over 200 mph on just 2 wheels! These awesome machines will be burning rubber on June 17 and 18 at Castrol Raceway. Come and see as the Top biker’s in the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association battle it out to see who will be champ!

Rocky Mountain Nationals

It is just about time to see all of the Top Driver’s from across North America return to Castrol Raceway for 3 days of none stop action on the IHRA quarter mile! The CARS RV & Marine Leduc Automotive & Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Torco Race Fuels will be held on June 23-25. Reserved tickets are almost sold out!! There will be General Admission available at the gates during the event.

Come and watch as the returning 5 time IHRA World Champion, Clay Millican, continues in his battle to stay in the number one position in points! Doug Foley and Bobby Lagana Jr, who one his first Iron Man at the Grand Bend National Event, are looking to get crowned the IHRA World Champion for the 2006 Season, and beat out the 5 time Champion!

 

This will be the FIRST year that IHRA has had the Nitro Funny Cars competing at the National event level in many years. You don’t want to miss out on watching as this awesome class roar’s down the strip at speeds over 300 mph! Don’t forget to cheer on our local Nitro Funny Car driver Jason DuChene who will be competing against a full field of Nitro driver’s including Dale Creasy Jr., Gary Cooper, Vinny Arcadi, Terry Haddock, David Benjamin, Jeff Diehl and more to come!

 

Also returning with the Rocky Mountain Nationals will be the third Nitro Class running on the June 23-25 weekend, the Nitro Bikes, as well as Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Alcohol Funny Car, Pro Nostalgia, Top Sportsman, Brackets, Jr. Dragsters and many more!


Tickets are available online through the Castrol Raceway website or you can call the office to order over the phone. You can also pick up General Admission tickets at TicketMaster or your local Mac’s Convenience Store.

Mac’s & Castrol Raceway have teamed up again to have all of Edmonton & Surrounding area MAC’S stores sell tickets to all Castrol Raceway events.

MAC’S will have tickets to all "BRACKETS, NITE THUNDER, MAJOR DRAG & OVAL, MONSTER MADNESS & FOR THE FIRST TIME GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS FOR THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONALS".

Be sure to get your race tickets & all your convenience needs at your local MAC’S store.

Rocky Mountain Nationals Information

Ticket sales are going strong for the 4th Annual IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals. You can order your ticket online through www.castrolraceway.com, or get your General Admission Ticket at any Mac’s stores or with Ticket Master. For more information or to order your ticket over the phone, please call (780) 461-5801.

Bracket and Junior Dragster Driver’s – there are only a limited number of spots left for the Rocky Mountain Nationals. Be sure to call the Castrol Raceway Office and sign up today. Cost is just $200.00 for Bracket Class and $95.00 for Junior Dragsters.
