2006 Castrol Raceway Season

Castrol Raceway would like to say Thank You to everyone who supported us in the 2006 Season. Each year the season’s are getting more exciting and the competition is heating up. This year was an exceptional year for us with the addition of Castrol as the new Title Sponsor of the facility. Castrol has been an amazing partner to work with and we look forward to continuing our relationship in the years to come. There have been a number of new sponsor’s this year including Trail Tire, Daytona Homes, CARS RV & Marine, House of Thunder, Cervus Contractors Equipment and many more who have supported us over the past year’s, who have worked with us to make the 2006 Season the best yet. And to the many racers, crews, family, friends and race enthusiasts, your support and dedication to the sport has been remarkable and we Thank You.

Thanks again to all of those who have supported us and continue to move forward with us into the 2007 Race Season!


The Crowning of the 2006 Castrol Raceway Champs

The racing this year has been unbelievable with the Championship not being decided until the last race of the season for almost every class. The racer’s and their crew’s have worked extremely hard all season and put up an intense chase. Castrol Raceway would like to acknowledge and congratulate its Champs!

Two Castrol Raceway Driver’s Heading to The Rock

The four wildcard entries as well as the two at-large bids were chosen at the IHRA Headquarters in Norwalk, Ohio Friday.

Each of these winners gain automatic entry into the Summit Super Series runoff held at the World Finals in Rockingham, N.C. Oct. 20-22.

The 2006 Summit Super Series wildcard drawing winners are:

9X26 Joe Gary from Carolina Dragway

1X2L Steve Skrobacz from Lancaster Motorsports Park
LX15 Jeff Billeter from Byron Dragway

At-large bids:

Box: Pames Pahl from Castrol Raceway

All other winners will be determined in a runoff of each Summit Super Series Track Champion at that divisions Summit Team Finals event. The Division 1 Track Champions will run off at the Presidents Cup Nationals in Budds Creek Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

Best of luck to Ed and James as they head south to compete for the IHRA World Championship’s in Rockingham, North Carolina.


Rocky Mountain Nationals Save My Seat Program

The Save My Seat program will be starting right away for the Rocky Mountain Nationals next July 6-8, 2007. Watch for you package in the mail and be sure to Save Your Seat right away. The program will run until December 1, with all remaining reserved seats opening to the public on December 15.
