Inaugural World of Outlaws Oil City Cup a Success!

The August 17-19 weekend was a historic weekend for all Sprint Car fans in Western Canada. After not being in Canada since 1982 the event was a near sell out before Castrol Raceway even opened its gates on Friday August 17. And what a show we seen! Congratulation goes out to Donny Schatz for not only winning night two of the Boston Pizza Oil City Cup but to being the overall champ for the weekend! All of the competitors put on a great show and the fans were treated to racing like never seen before at Castrol Raceway! A big thank you has to go out to Boston Pizza for supporting the event and to all of the staff who worked hard to make sure the event was a success! Congratulations to each and every racer and to the support class; the NPP Late Models who gave the fans a little extra.

The World of Outlaws Oil City Cup will be back next year on August 22 & 23, 2008. If you had tickets this year, Castrol Raceway will be sending out a Save My Seat letter in the next 60 days so you can get your seats again for next year's event. We hope to see each and every one of you next year as Donny Schatz returns to defend his title!

Attention All Drag Racers:

THE 2007 SUMMIT SUPERSERIES $250,000 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Each Summit SuperSeries track will determine a “performance rating” winner by September 11th based on the first 30 rounds, win or lose. PR champions from each track will run each other at the Summit Team Finals in their division. The last race to earn Summit Super Series points at Castrol Raceway is September 9th. All racers please check your points on line at http://www.ihra.com/statistics/points/index.php before September 12 to ensure your “performance rating” is correct.

Torco Race Fuels King of the Hill $10,000 Final Event

There are only two chances left to qualify for the Torco Race Fuels King of the Hill year end final race on September 22 - September 8th and September 15th.
