Going Global
NAIT, as one of the largest providers of workforce training in Canada, will be demonstrating our capabilities at the upcoming Global Petroleum Show in Calgary's Stampede Park, June 13-15, 2006. NAIT will be highlighting our many training options including the NAIT in Motion mobile training unit.
With the high demand for trades training, NAIT is being proactive by launching the NAIT in Motion training units. These mobile shops can be delivered to communities all over Western and Northern Canada. Each of the two training units can be expanded to cover approximately 1000 square feet of lab space and can house welding, electrical, machining and other trades related training.
With partners such as TELUS, NAIT will also be demonstrating cutting edge next generation safety training via video conferencing and interactive simulators. NAIT is also a proud partner of TELUS in their Camp in a Box™ program that provides media services for a future friendly workspace; at home or in the office.

We Keep Growing and Growing!
Business Development is excited to announce the opening of our Bonnyville office. NAIT will be working with other colleges to deliver quality training to industry and the public through the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre Project. The project is a multi-complex facility including a gym, running track and ice rinks; as well as, a learning centre with classrooms, a lecture theatre and a trades lab.
Carmelita Crisp is the Project Officer located in Bonnyville. Transferred in May, Carmy is excited to be part of this venture. "I want to feel out the needs of the region and bring programming that is going to have a positive impact in the community. Establishing relationships with Industry is important. We now have an opportunity to bring training here instead of having students and employees traveling to Edmonton."
Currently in temporary offices, NAIT will move into the new Centennial Centre when it opens in April 2007.
