If you’ve ever dreamed of flying a small plane or working toward a pilot’s license, here’s your chance to give it a whirl. NAIT’s new course Introduction to Flying  is being offered in cooperation with the Centennial Flight Centre. Take flight over two weekends in January.

  Entry-level trades programs provide industry with a skilled workforce
Alberta is currently enjoying the strongest economic growth of any province in Canada, creating an exceptionally high demand for workers with the right mix of knowledge and skills. NAIT’s pre-employment trades programs are designed to give entry-level workers the skills they need to get started in the workforce. Many start this winter.

Roadbuilding & Heavy Construction Pre-employment Program
Great jobs ahead! This program, offered in cooperation with the Alberta Roadbuilding Contractors Association (check name) paves the way for students to enter the field of heavy construction.

Welded Metal Fabrication Pre-Trades
Applied academic skills combine with employability skills in this introduction to the metal fabrication industry. This 15-week program starts January 3/05 and covers basic trade skills for entry-level employment as a boilermaker, structural steel plate fitter, ironworker, metal building erector or welder.

Parts Technician I Certificate
A 13-week program combining academic skills, employability skills and entry-level trade/occupational competencies, Parts Technician I can lead to an apprenticeship.

For the motorcycle enthusiast on your Christmas list! NAIT offers a variety of rider courses from absolute beginner to advanced rider and touring in the Canadian Rockies. Courses start in April and run continuously throughout the summer, rain or shine.
