Alberta Skilled Labour Event
On behalf of the Municipality of Queretaro, NAIT would like to cordially invite your organization to participate in the Mexican Federal Ministry of Labour International Skilled Labour Event. This inaugural event is being hosted by the Mexican Federal Government through the State of Queretaro Ministry of Labour and endorsed by the Municipality of Queretaro Ministry of Sustainable Development with the support of the Municipality of Queretaro International Affairs Office.
NAIT has worked with the Municipality in its original screening process and will continue to work with them in finding the best candidates for Alberta. Many qualified individuals have registered for this event including candidates in the following occupations:
- Cabinet Makers
- Carpenters
- Crane Operators
- Heavy Equipment Mechanics
- Heavy Equipment Operators
- Iron Workers
- Machinist
- Millwrights
- Pipefitters
- Plumbers
- Welders
These qualified individuals have been prescreened to meet the following standards:
- Basic English skill
- AIT prerequisites for compulsory trades
- Theoretical pre-assessment for trades
Companies will have the opportunity to meet candidates in an open fair and conduct private interviews with candidates of choice. Interviews with prescreened candidates who have registered for the event can also be arranged. The opportunity to conduct practical welding assessments will be available through the educational institute of ICATEQ (with support from NAIT). If other practical assessments are required, ICATEQ may be able to assist you with your specialized needs.
NAIT Subject Matter Experts can be arranged through separate agreement.
In addition to the candidates already registered, an extensive marketing and advertising campaign will be launched in the State of Queretaro and neighboring states.
The event is scheduled to take place February 6 to 8, 2009 in the City of Queretaro, Mexico. Please see the attached registration package for the event details.
