As we close out 2009 and bring in 2010 it’s hard to believe that the Mac’s Legend Racing Series will be entering its 16th Year of Sponsorship by Mac’s Convenience Store. It is the longest running Sponsorship of any Racing Series in Canada.

Mac’s Convenience Stores is entering its 9th year of Sponsorship of the Premier Legend race in Canada, the Mac’s "Froster 50" with a prize purse of $10,000.00. The 2010 Mac’s "Froster 50" will be run June 19th at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon and will be the crown jewel of the 2010 Mac’s Legend Racing Series.

Over the past 15 years the Legend Racing Series has changed and grown and Mac’s has being there every step of the way and has played a huge role in the growth of Legend racing in Western Canada.

Every Legend racer is proud of their Series but even more proud of Showcasing the Mac’s Convenience Stores name to the legion of legend fans in Western Canada.

Tentative 2010 Schedule - Minus Dirt

This is the 1st look at the TENTATIVE 2010 Mac’s Legend Racing Series Asphalt Schedule.

Still to come is the 2010 Mike & Ikes Legend Dirt Series Schedule. Legends is still waiting final approval of the dates on the Schedule by the race tracks, but hopes to have the final stamp of approval along with the Mike & Ikes Dirt Series early in 2010.

Allen Berg Racing Schools and Legend Cars of Alberta Team Up for Racing Schools

Legend Cars of Alberta is pleased to Announce an alliance with Allen Berg Race Schools for 2010 and beyond. Legend Cars of Alberta will own all the equipment and Allen Berg Race Schools will operate the Legend Racing School Programs. Legends Cars of Alberta and Allen Berg Race Schools will work together to market and promote not only Legends but also Allen Berg Race Schools open wheel and Go Kart School Programs. Legend Cars of Alberta and Allen Berg Race Schools looks forward to growing the Individual Schools (Adventure, Advanced & Top Gun) 10 Lap Test Drive and the Corporate Schools Programs. And this growth will continue to make the Legend Racing Series the Best Oval Series in Western Canada

Pit's from the Pit's

Legends has added another racer in Saskatoon. Lowell McLaren has purchase a brand new 1934 ford sedan legend racecar and will run #27 in the Masters Division. Lowell and a bunch of his friends did a legend Adventure School before the Mac’s Froster 50 race in Saskatoon and that’s was all it took, he was hooked.

Rod Priest and his son Mathew have purchased the # 84 40 Ford Coupe from Mathew Mort. Mathew will add to our growing list of Young Lions for 2010.

Munro Savage from Airdrie Alberta has purchased the #27 1937 Chev Sedan from Jamie Beatson. Jamie is an ex Legend Pro Champion and the racecar was totally rebuilt before it was parked in 2006. Munro will run #44 and from what I understand may run both the Asphalt & Dirt Series next year as he wants to run for the Championship.
