New Name for 600 Racing Inc.
600 Racing inc. the creator of the
Legend racecar and the Legend racing Series has changed its name and
its direction. The company will now be called US Legend Cars
International . It is their intention to let people know that
Legends is not just a US based racing series but is an International
Series which includes Canada and Europe.
US Legends International since 1991 has sold over 5,000 Legend
racecars world wide, and is the largest sanctioning body in the
world. |

The 1,000,000.00 Race
Charlotte Motor Speedway in conjunction
with US Legend Cars International want to showcase to the World the
Legend brand of racing. And so on July
15, 16, 17 & 18 2010 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Legends will have a
$1,000,000.00 purse race with $250,000.00 going to the winner.
With a purse of this size, US legend Cars International is
anticipating around 800 entries and don’t be surprised to see many
of your favourite NASCAR racers who started their careers racing a
Legend racecar to be back behind the wheel for this race.
Although not confirmed, with a purse of a $1,000,000.00 you can bet
that #17 Ira Laughy, #32 Adam Gilbert & #81 Dex Hucal to name a few,
will be filling out their entry forms to be a part of this
Spectacular Legend Racing Event!

| National Points Fund
Although all of the details have yet to
be finalized with Darrell Krentz who runs the INEX side of Legend
Cars International, I can tell you that the 2010 Mac’s Legend Racing
Series will be receiving monies from the National Points Fund in
2010.
For years Canadian Legend racers have being asking why we in Canada
don’t have our own Canadian National Points Fund. Well now we do.

Mac's Back for
2010!

Although all the details have yet to be
given the final stamp of approval, Legend Cars of Alberta is proud
to announce that Mac’s Convenience Stores will be back for a 16th
Season as the Series Sponsor. Every Legend racer in the Mac’s Legend
Racing Series feel honored to showcase the Mac’s Corp Logo on their racecars.
In 2010 Mac’ Convenience Stores will again sponsor the
Mac’s "Froster 50" which is the Premier race in Canada and feature a
$10,000.00 purse. This year’s race will again be at Auto Clearing
Motor Speedway in Saskatoon. The race will be run on Saturday
June 19th, 2010. As in previous years the race will be a sanctioned
by INEX as a National Qualifier race. |

Tentative 2010 Schedule - Minus Dirt
Shown below is the 2010 Mac’s Legend
Racing Series Schedule. Legends is pleased to announce that for the
first time ever Legend Racecars will race in Regina at Kings Park
Speedway. Everybody at Kings Head Speedway are excited to showcase
the Mac’s Legend Racing Series at their track and I know the Legend
Racers are excited to go there.
On another note Legends will again race
on the Dirt in 2010 and the schedule should be finalized in the next
couple weeks and it will be in the next Newsletter.

Cars of Alberta Team Up for Racing Schools
Legend Cars of Alberta is pleased to
Announce an alliance with Allen Berg Race Schools for 2010 and
beyond. Legend Cars of Alberta will own all the equipment and Allen
Berg Race Schools will operate the Legend Racing School Programs.
Legends Cars of Alberta and Allen Berg Race Schools will work
together to market and promote not only Legends but also Allen Berg
Race Schools open wheel and Go Kart School Programs. Legend
Cars of Alberta and Allen Berg Race Schools looks forward to growing
the Individual Schools (Adventure, Advanced & Top Gun) 10 Lap Test
Drive and the Corporate Schools Programs. And this growth will
continue to make the Legend Racing Series the Best Oval Series in
Western Canada

Kevin Barton, who sat out 2009 because
of a New house, baby and job has sold his '37 Chev Legend racecar to
Rod Filgas of Calgary. Rod did a Legends races school in 2009 and
decided he wants to go Legend racing.
Word is that the Mac’s Legend racing
Series may have 2 more racers in 2010, and both racers are from BC.
Was told by Chris Timer that the # 67 that he drove in 2008 was sold
to a Dave Cooper from Fernie, BC, and one of Dave employees who
lives in Elko, BC just bought a Legend racecar from Texas. Legends
will keep you posted on this one as we find out more.

Jason Caplette who drove the #74 legend
racecar that is owned by his Dad in 2009, has just purchased the #
44 from Munro Savage. This car was the #27 and was owned by Jamie
Beatson, but not raced since 2005. Munro bought it in September
raced it twice and now sold it to Jason. Jason says he will run the
2010 Asphalt Series

Del Caplette tells us that now that
Jason has purchased the #44 Legend racecar. Del will again drive the
#74 but unlike his son Del will race the 2010 Mike & Ikes Dirt
Series and maybe the odd Asphalt race

Kyle Stevens has purchased the #38 car
from Ira Laughy. Kyle will continue to work with Ira as he moves
into his first season in the Pro division. Kyle is looking to pick
up where he left off last season and keep the #38 car at the front
of the pack.
