November Newsletter & Survey

Survey

Following our very well attended Legends Cars of Alberta meeting in Red Deer we have decided to put together a simple survey for the drivers to fill out. We are going through a bit of change this year with the closure of Race City and we would like to make sure that we get as much feedback as possible as we go through the planning phases for the 2006 season. We also understand that not everyone was able to attend the meeting so we thought this may help get some more input.

Click on the button below to fill out the survey.

The survey results will be posted and made available for everyone to see. Your submissions are anonymous.

Legends 1st Annual Crew Chief & any body who wants to try a Legend Racecar Day

Legends 1st Annual Crew Chief & any body who wants to try a Legend Racecar was a Huge success. We had over 25 racers bring their race cars out, and about 150 people got to go for a bunch or rides in a Legend racecar.

Legends Cars of Alberta looks forward to hosing another one in the Spring of 2006

Our INEX tech crew were treated to seat time in a Legends racecar. They spend all year Teching them it was nice to see the smiles on their faces from driving them.

Bits from the Pits

Shawn "Iron Chef" Bower will drive the # 54 Melrose Cafe & Bar / Legend Cars of Alberta / RIp Cord Adventure Products Legend racer in 2006 .

After a 1 year absence Shawn will be a teammate of Dave "the Kid" Kindopp in the #45 Legend Cars of Alberta/Renegade Racing School and Rip Cord Adventure Products.

Watch for some Sponsor announcements early in 2006.

In 2004 we presented Kim Trowbridge with a 1/2 of one of the old # 45 Legend racecars which all the racers signed.

At that time Kim said he would be hanging it in his Garage, and Kim sent us some pictures to prove it.

Ira Laughy has purchased a new '34 Chev Coupe for the '06 season and will be running a 2 car team with James Vandomselaar. James will be driving the #17 car and Ira will be driving the new #38 car.

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Foster Phillips who has being a minority shareholder in Legends Cars of Alberta for the last 3 years and a major presence at the race track. Foster will be missed by not only the dealership but all of the racers, crews and fans.

It is however with a smile on our face that we say welcome to Danny Hinds as the new minority share holder in Legends Cars of Alberta. Danny has been around the Legends scene for a long time and is the driver of the #50 Dent Clinic car.

Bill Busby who owns the Sobeys in Claresholm has just purchased the #9 car from Bob Lotwin. Bill has followed the Legend Series for about 7 years now. Look for more on this NEW team in the next few months

Mathew Mort from Calgary has purchase the # 2 car and looks forward to racing in 2006. The car will have Major Sponsorship from Kinko , Mathew will have several more Sponsors to announce in the near future

Jason Johnstone from Calgary, has purchased Rod Priests #28 Legends racecar and looks forward to racing Legends in 2006. Jason was racing on the Dirt at Rocky Mountain Speedway and looks forward to race on Asphalt in 2006.
