2008 Froster 50 - Bigger and Better
than Ever!
Mac’s Convenience Stores is once
again proud to sponsor the premier Legends race of the Mac’s Chase
Series in Western Canada. We are returning to Auto Clearing Motor
Speedway for the third year. As always a Big thanks in advance to
all of you for pulling such a long distance.
Here is a rough overview of today’s race day. As always things can
and do happen so please understand that all changes made will
hopefully better your race day experience. |

Competitors Gate opens at 11:00 AM -
Auto Clearing Motorspeedway
Tech will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Driver’s Picnic - Noon to 1:00 PM in the Pits - Sponsored by Subway @ Mac’s
(We are asking that you consider a donation to the local Care and Share program
for each lunch consumed)
Legends Only Practice - 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (Note: this request was not
confirmed at time of printing)
As we move into Race day an agenda will be provided at track, but will include
for the Legends:
3 Heat Races - One per Class
We are again anticipating 40 cars will be attending this year. As we did last
year the top 26 qualifiers are in the show and qualifying times determine the
lineup for the Main. The remaining field will compete in the B-Main with four
Car/Drivers from that race having the option to move up to the Main event, the
50
. The Race Director of the day will transfer those drivers to the Main at his
discretion. A maximum number of 30 cars will be competing in the
50.
A & B MAIN BOTH GET PAYOUTS
Legend racers in a B-Main have their payouts continue from last racers payout in
A- Main
Eg: 8- Semi Pro racers in A- Main , 1st place Semi Pro in B-Main gets 9th place
monies etc.
The
50
will run as follows: After 67 laps; a white flag will fly followed by a yellow
for a mandatory caution. The Yellow Flag will be shown to slow the field and
cars will continue around the track for approx 5 laps to cool motors as well as
establishing the correct race order. All lapped traffic will be moved to the
tail prior to the field entering the pits. Once stopped drivers will be asked to
step out of their cars during the re-fueling. No other work can be done to a
car. Any work attempted will cause that car/driver to go to the tail of the
entire field. Drivers will get a 5-minute signal to get back into their cars and
then the cars will be brought back onto the track for a double file restart.
NOTE: This is how the promoter Mac’s Convenience Stores wishes the race
to be run and any changes to the above format will be solely at the Race
Directors decision to improve the evenings show for the benefit of the drivers
and the fans.
Sunday June 15th is the rain date for this event should Mother Nature not
co-operate

Top Prize: $ 970.00 CDN to winner (if a Pro racer wins)
$670.00 CDN to Semi Pro winner
$670.00 CDN to Masters Winner
NOTE: If a Semi Pro or Master wins the 50, the top Pro gets $670.00
B-Main no matter what class $300.00 to 1st Place.
Enclosed with this letter you will find $50 Cash from Mac’s. As well ACMS will
also be adding $50 to each driver’s payout. These dollars are our way of saying
thanks for attending and we hope that you will use them to offset some of your
expenses from the weekend.
Normal Track Payouts will also be awarded according to finish position. Payout
sheet is attached.
