August 2008
New Course maturing well!!!

Now that summer has given us some warm nights and hot days the growth of the new course has matured substantially. We now are cutting all greens, tees and fairways on a frequent basis, the staff has been working also to repair and re-seed all washout areas. Further to this we just purchased a small mini-backhoe for bunker restoration. These new machines can save many man hours and will be used to prepare final shaping on all new bunkers, along with restoration and changes we will be making to the South bunkers. In the future even though we have the same architect you will see two distinctive design looks with booth golf courses.

Wolf Creek Announces New Golf Course Names!!!

After surveying hundreds of guests, members and friends we have finally come up with names for our two golf courses. The first name was fairly easy for the original course, we felt to save confusion to our guests and members we decided to use "The Old Course". The name reflects what just about everybody uses now and gives a distinction for marketing in the future. In regards to the New course we felt we wanted something simple that reflects the history of the game and what the Wolf is all about. "The Links Course" was the name we came up with, it describes exactly what Wolf Creek golf is all about and the new course will reflect a true inland links look. Further to this we will be promoting two logos for the two courses, Our marketing company Parcom has come up with a logo for the new course that we feel is fresh and represents a new image. To keep the traditionalists happy we will also keep the old logo to represent the Old course. We are currently test marketing some merchandise in the shop that reflects the new look!!!

From the Golf Shop

I can't believe it is already the middle of August! I guess it is true about times flies when you are having fun. As you all know we had a large selection of demo clubs this season and it is now time to begin moving that product. Come out, try out some slightly experienced clubs and work out a deal with one of our golf professionals. We still have a great selection of PING, Taylor Made, Callaway and Adams demo's to chose from.

I would like to thank all the Members who participated in this seasons Club Championship. It was once again a great success with some great golf, good weather, and pleasant company and as always a fabulous meal to finish up the evening! The Ladies champion for 2008 was Sharon Peart and the the Men Tim Boston. Congratulations to everyone!
