Wolf Creek to celebrate a quarter century!!!
As the 2009 season begins to unfold we would like to announce that Wolf Creek will be celebrating 25 years. It seems such a short time ago that we began this project and now have evolved again with the opening of our new course and 36 holes of golf. Even with dire mood of the marketplace we have great optimism with how the year will unfold. Our new Links course is expected to open sometime in June pending how the weather presents us. We expect to have an official opening but have not pinned a date at this time as we wait to the golf gods to give us the go ahead. The Rod Whitman course will present a totally new look of the Wolf that will showcase the evolution of a designer over 25 years in the business.

Wolf Creek will have our customary booth at both the Calgary and Edmonton Golf Shows, starting this weekend in Edmonton. This is a great opportunity to get out and see the latest golf equipment and test drive the new models. It is also a great time to book your wolfcreek golf trip for 2009. Villages starting to Grow!!
With the completion of the villages project we now have one villa up and 9 other homes. More plans are being approved as we speak so the development should take on a different shape before the end of the year. From the Jae Stiles – Golf Shop manager!!!
I hope everyone had a great winter and don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a little snow but I can’t wait for it to be over! I have had enough…it is time for the golf season to begin. After 15 years, on and off, Mr. Jay Anderson is moving on from Wolf Creek. As of March 1st Jay became the Head Professional of Olympic View in Victoria BC. He will be missed but we wish him the best of luck to him in his new position. Shawn Westhauver also moved on after only one season, the commute from the North end of Edmonton was just too much. Chris, Scott, Andrew, Chase and Ryan T. will all be returning for the 2009 season. Joining our team in the Golf shop will be Laura Witvoet, who many of you know as our Director of Instruction. Her infectious personality and golf knowledge will be welcome addition to our team. I will also be returning to the Proshop on a full time basis on this transition year from 27 to 36 holes.
Roger and his crew of marshals and starters seem for the most part will be returning for the 09 season. A new member to the starter team will be Ike Cadogan. He worked a few shifts for us late last season and will play a major role for us this season. It will be a new challenge for Roger and the boys when we go to 36 holes but I’m sure they can handle it.
Chris and Cheryl Sieben will once again be teaming up to run the 2009 Men’s League, when it is not broken don’t fix it. Ryan Tofani and Katrina Pylypow will be the new team on the block for Ladies League this season. It is a opportunity they are both looking forward to. We will begin both leagues once Mother Nature and Rick David give us the word!
