Winter Solstice Savings - $33 on Dec 21st

Winter solstice on December 21st is celebrated to bring warmth, light and cheerfulness to the darkest day of the year. On this shortest day of the year, the sun is at its lowest and weakest, a pivot point from which the light will become stronger and brighter.  This is the turning point of the year.

Here at the Juniper, outdoor colored lights, apres ski traditions and the winter solstice sale are part of our celebration of the season.  With the day turning to darkness so early, it is cheering to gather in the Fireside Lounge for hot toddy's and comfort food after a day outdoors.  And of course, the longest day of darkness means retirining early for a long and restful sleep.

Winter Solstice Sale - 12 + 21 = $33 stay on December 21

Two night minimum applies

Juniper Bistro - Top Place to Dine in Canada

En Route Magazine is viewed by thousands of Canadian and overseas travellers, many of whom pay special attention to the restaurants listed when they visit.

In Banff and Lake Louise, the Juniper Bistro and Lounge is selected as one of the top places to dine in Canada. We at the Juniper Bistro are pleased to be recognized. We're proud of our food, thoughtful service, and unsurpassed views.

When people ask us for our other favourites in the area, we recommend the Bison Bistro at the Bison Courtyard, Beaujolais, Ticino's, Three Ravens at the Banff Centre, and Timbers in Banff, Storm Mountain Lodge at Castle Junction, and the Post Hotel in Lake Louise.

This recognition echos Banff and Lake Louise being selected as Top Food and Wine Destination by Trip Advisor Traveller Reviews earlier this year.

It's always a Snow Day in Banff

From skiing and snowboarding to ice-skating, snowshoeing to curling, ice-walking to tubing and back-country adventure to apres-hopping come and experience the amazing winter wonderland that is Banff National Park.

New events such as the Mountain Adventure Weekend and "Take it to the Street" hockey tournament on Banff Ave, combined with the ever popular Ice Magic Festival, now two weekends of fun, will add to the excitement of the season.

Throw in a new outdoor skating rink decked out with lights, festive atmosphere and new programming by Parks Canada and Banff Heritage Tourism, we'll all have something to celebrate and share.

The Juniper Hotel will be taking a few "snow days" break from January 03-18th.  We look forward to welcoming you to the Hotel or Bistro after January 18th in the new year.
