Not one, but two different events!  Whisky tastings are gaining popularity, and what better way to tell your Dad you appreciate him than by sending him on a night out to sip and learn about whisky from around the world?

India Village & Amrut Distilleries
Sun. June 19 - 6:30 pm  $40 per person

Amrut Whisky is the only Indian whisky made from carefully grown and harvested Indian barley that's grown at the foot of the Himalayas and matured in oak barrels at 3000 ft in Bangalore.   Jim Murray (The Whiskey Bible) has consistently rated the Amrut Whiskies over 90 points.  We will be offering tastings of four of the six bottles available on the market, as well as the Amrut Old Port Rum, and some oak aged beer from Tullibardine in Scotland (of course we'll offer our Dads a beer!  We're Sherbrooke!)  Unfortunately Amrut hasn't produced any oak aged beers just yet.  Trust us, we would have sourced it out by now.

Your Dad's evening will include Amrut Fusion, peated Whiskey, cask-strength peated whiskey, and the single malt, as well, the chefs at India Village will provide some appetizers to snack on during the evening.  One Lucky Dad will also win a bottle from Amrut to take home!

Whisky Tasting Thurs. June 16
Truthfully, this event is still under construction and waiting for confirmation of some new product from one of the Distilleries.  Sherbrooke is working with Gold Medal Marketing and Saverio Schiarelli Agencies in order to offer you an exciting event with several premium whiskies in a relaxed, yet informative atmosphere at Gini's Restaurant.  Keep checking our website for more information as it becomes available.

Last month's wine club selection was all about nachos and a yummy tempranillo blend - and white wines that had history and multi-talented winemakers. 

This month's a quirky Canadian blend and a 95-point Aussie Shiraz that has a label with more meaning and symbols that your oldest Bordeaux. 

We're going 'Guerilla' in June for our Barbecue Masters who are gearing up for Father's Day and summer long weekends.

Daily Tastings
The beginning of summer always heralds the arrival of new coolers and of course, beer!   Sherbrooke is tweaking the already interesting selection of wines and spirits, and will be introducing some of the new choices to you via free tastings in store.  The calendar is very quickly filling up with all sorts of new products hitting the market and Sherbrooke shelves. 

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there will be various knowledgeable professionals focusing on a variety of products.  We've noticed that many of our customers like to do their shopping on a Sunday afternoon when they have time and can concentrate on our many choices; therefore you may even occasionally see someone offering sampling on Sundays as well.   Check in often, it's always a new day at Sherbrooke Liquor.
